Click on the link 'Join Bravenet' at the top right of the page
Make sure you enter your email address correctly as you will need to collect your validation code from this address.
After this page you will see a page of offers, you can ignore these if you want and click the continue button at the bottom of the page.
You do not need to choose any and may just continue.
IMPORTANT - choose the option 'Build a new website' on the left; the option on the right is a paid option.
This is where you choose your website address.
This will form your website's address e.g.
http://sshowto.bravehost.com
To begin uploading click on 'File Manager' the first option in the left hand column.
IMPORTANT - do not change the names of any of the files or any links I have put in will not work!
If you want to upload more than the four files allowed for simply click 'new file upload box'
There is one final step to take. You will notice that there are now TWO index files.
Index.html and Index.htm
Index.html is the 'holding page' by Bravenet. Delete this file by click the red circle with the cross in it.
Next re-name the file Index.htm to Index.html. This is VERY IMPORTANT. If you do not do this you will not see your site!
Your website is now ready to view.
Go to your sub-domain that you created earlier
e.g. http://sshowto.bravehost.com
Don't forget to advertise your new address on the forum!
